No. Our kits are graded from beginner to advanced. If you're new, start with a beginner through-hole kit like the Soldering Practice, BCD Counter, or My First µC — no experience required. Not sure where to begin? Head to our Start Here page.
Every kit ships with the PCB, every component you need to build it, and a 10–49 page engineering design guide written by the engineer who designed the board. Everything you need to build it — and to understand it.
Our kits are DIY soldering kits, so you'll need a soldering iron, solder, wire cutters, and ideally a multimeter for testing. Each kit's guide includes specific tool recommendations for that build.
Most kits give you a bill of materials and a video. Ours give you the actual schematic, the reasoning behind every component choice, the signal theory, board testing steps, and a troubleshooting guide — written by the person who designed the board. We ship from Switzerland to Switzerland, the EU, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the United States. Each market has a flat shipping rate, with free shipping over a threshold. Orders to the EU and US ship DDP — we prepay all duties and import taxes, so the price at checkout is the final price. Orders to all other destinations ship DAP, where local import duties may apply on delivery. Full details are on our Shipping Policy.
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days. Estimated delivery is 1–3 business days within Switzerland, 3–7 to the EU, 5–8 to the US, and 5–10 to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. These are estimates and depend on customs and local postal services.
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return, provided the kit is unused, complete, and in its original packaging. EU orders also have a 14-day cooling-off period. Note that we can't accept returns on kits that have been partially or fully assembled (soldered). See our Refund Policy for the details.
Checkout runs on Shopify's secure, PCI-compliant checkout. The payment options available to you appear at checkout based on your region, and prices are shown in your local currency.
