Our Methods

What makes Mixed Signal Development stand out from other Electronic DIY kits manufacturers is the detailed project information we provide with every purchase.

Our documentation will allow you to understand the most specific elements of each of our boards, as well as the reasoning behind their design and how they work and even how to put them together.

This project documentation comes in multiple formats:

Collapsible content

Technical Explanations

This part of the documentation is a manual that will take you on a ride through every single detail that we take into the account in the creation of the board so you can learn about our thought process and you can implement it in their professional career and personal projects.

This includes an Schematic and Layout explanation and a how-to guide on how to test your board once you are done putting it together.

PCB prints

For you to correctly understand the documentation, you will need somewhere were you can see in detail how the connections in the PCB are layed out and how the different parts of the circuit interconnect with eachother.

This is the reason why we also include a detailed PDF in which you will be able to see each of the layers of the board separately. This will help you understand what we explain in the manual and will help you debug the project in case you have any problems.

In addition to this, you will find as the end of this PDF what is known as an "Assembly Print" in which all the components in the board are tagged with their value. Like this, soldering the board will be less confusing and will lead to less mistakes.

Test Firmware

For those projects that include micro-controllers, Mixed Signal Development includes Firmware that you will be able to flash in your board to start using it right away. This will allow you also to create your own firmware for it and to test the different features the project has.

Bill of Materials

A Bill of Material (BOM in short), is a spreadsheet document in which you will find all the components that are necessary for the assembly of the board. The quantity, the value, footprint and designator (or text that's printed in the PCB).

Please go through this document and make sure you have all the pieces before beggining to put it together. If any of the components is missing please leave us a message in the contact form
